This course specially adapted for the health and social care sector covers the first part of the level 2 health and safety award and then moves into more specific subjects by including the half day “Level 2 Award in Hygiene in Health and Social Care” so introducing an element of infection control through hygiene awareness , personal hygiene and cleaning.

This level 3 award is designed to provide the knowledge and skills required for them to be able to discharge their health and safety duties and responsibilities.

This level 4 course is designed to provide skills to enable managers and supervisors to manage health and safety in most workplaces. Aimed at Key personnel this course is targeted at all those who have a responsibility for the management of health and safety issues.

The certificate is designed to help supervisors, line managers and senior managers meet their health and safety obligations. Many safety practitioners and union safety representatives start with this course if they have not undertaken any formal H&S training previously.

Do you need to raise awareness in the principles of risk assessment; this course will enable the candidates to understand the basic principles and so contribute to the workplace risk assessments to help protect their own health and safety as well as that of others and in so doing help to improve the health and safety culture within the company.

This programme is designed to assist both employers and the self employed in meeting their legal duties under the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations by equipping them with the skills to carry out risk assessments

Everybody will perform manual handling to some degree; this programme will equip candidates with the knowledge to contribute to the development of safe methods of manual handling tasks.

Introducing the candidates to the risks and controls associated with the use of hazardous substances, this course will outline what to expect from a COSHH (Control of substances hazardous to health) assessment.
